It may be hard to believe but Mini is celebrating 50 years in Australia in 2011 – and what a festival of events is planned!After a fantastic MINI Aunited last year, the 2011 Australian festivites will be an 8 day mini-extravaganza. It will commence with a massive Mini/MINI homecoming which will feature the largest display of classic and new MINI’s that Australia has ever seen. Whether you have a Mini/MINI in the garage, remember the first mini’s in Australia or just love them the Mini Homecoming will be a brilliant day.
MINI Display at MINI AUnited for 50 Years of MINI!
For those of you with a ride, there are then a few days of driving related Mini events, including “back to Catalina” tour, Mini drive-in movie, which will be put on by the MINI dealer network (at the MINI Bar is the early rumour!) and Bathurst Wander. This will culminate in an Mini Oz50 Dinner on the Friday night.
But make sure you leave some energy up your sleeve as come Sunday there is a massive Oz50 Festival at Wakefield Park in Goulburn. This is will be an amazing Mini day with mini-only racing, Motorkhana, show’n'shine, parade laps, Mini only carpark plus look out for celebrity Mini drivers.
