Mitsubishi Triton Ute crowned Four-Wheel Drive of 2009

Its been a very successful year for the new Mitsubishi Triton. Coming off the back of winning 4×4 Australia magazine’s Ute of the Year, the tough new Triton has done it again by being crowned Overlander’s 4WD of the Year – the first utility to ever take the title!
We love the new Triton here on the beaches, and are thrilled that it has taken home such a prestigious award, and we think is just rewards for this ground-breaking duel cab.
“The Triton was rewarded for its benchmark safety equipmment, excellent diesel engine, genuine off-raod practicality and surpirsingly smooth on-road handling and dynamics” commented Trent Nikolic, editor of Overlander Magazine. The Triton triumphed over more conventional,and much more expensive four wheel drive wagons.
This award secures back to back wins for Mitsubishi (with the Pajero in 2008) and cements Mitsubishi as a four-wheel drive powerhouse.
